At least two people have died after a fireball aircraft plummeted into multiple lorries beside a motorway.
Shocking footage shared on social media revealed a colossal plume of smoke billowing from the crash site as emergency services rushed to the scene on Sunday October 12 in Fort Worth, Texas.
The identities of those killed have not yet been disclosed. Officials are continuing to probe a potential cause for the tragedy. The incident happened at approximately 1:30pm local time near Hicks Airfield at a commercial estate surrounded by small enterprises and residential neighbourhoods.

However, Lois Kinman, a spokesperson for the airfield, confirmed that the aircraft was not stationed there, reports the Mirror US.
Emergency crews from numerous agencies attended the crash, including teams from Tarrant County, Haslet, Lake Worth, Newark, Saginaw, Eagle Mountain, and Fort Worth.
According to Robbie Hoy, a public information officer for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, the Federal Aviation Administration would be assuming control of the investigation.
Motorists were advised to steer clear of the area as authorities dealt with the scene. Images from the location show emergency vehicles cordoning off the main carriageway.
The plane was identified as a Beechcraft King Air C90. It was not immediately clear how many passengers were aboard when it crashed.
One witness, Lauren Anderson, a cashier at an animal feed shop, told The New York Times that she had witnessed a "giant black cloud of smoke" that appeared at least 100 feet wide. "There was probably about a 20-, 30-minute window where it was just nonstop emergency vehicles," she said.
However, once the smoke cleared out, Anderson says the area had apparently gone back to normal. "Honestly, it just kind of looks like nothing even happened," she added. "It's like, a weird feeling, knowing something did."
The Mirror US contacted the Fort Worth Fire Department for additional information.
