A youth struggling with unemployment committed suicide by hanging himself in Banaras. When the wife got the news of her husband's death, she committed suicide by jumping from the building of her maternal home. The death of husband and wife caused chaos in the family. The deceased husband was wandering in search of a job for the last two years. He was a resident of Bihar. For some time, he was living with his wife in his in-laws' house.

The deceased husband Harish was a resident of Barh in Bihar, while his wife Sanchita was the daughter of a well-known doctor of Gorakhpur. Both of them fell in love while studying in the prestigious school located at Rajghat in Banaras. After doing MBA, both of them got married. Harish got a job in a private bank in Mumbai where the package was also good. Both of them started living in Mumbai.

Said to go to Patna, I reached Banaras

After some time, Sanchita's health started deteriorating. Sanchita's doctor father brought her to Gorakhpur. Where she started getting treatment. After a few months, Harish also left his job and came to Gorakhpur and started living with his in-laws. He was looking for a job for the last two years and had become addicted to drugs. His carefree lifestyle started increasing his financial burden. On July 5, Harish left Gorakhpur saying that he was going to Patna, but instead of going to Patna, he came to Banaras and stayed in a homestay in Mavaiya, Sarnath.

Committed suicide by hanging in the hostel

Harish stayed in a homestay in Atal Nagar Colony, Mavaiya, Sarnath and committed suicide by hanging himself on Friday night. Before committing suicide, he had booked a room online for the homestay. He had also checked in at 8 pm on Friday night. Meanwhile, during the homestay, he ordered food online. When the message reached his wife Sanchita Srivastava's mobile, the wife wondered why her husband had reached Banaras instead of going to Bihar. She called Harish but the call was not received.

She kept calling him continuously, but there was no response from her husband. The family started getting worried because of this. They contacted one of their relatives and told him the whole story and also gave him the address of the place where Harish was staying. When the relative went to the homestay and enquired, they got to know about Harish's suicide.

Sanchita committed suicide by jumping from the building

On Saturday, Sanchita's family was informed about this. On Sunday morning, when her doctor father informed Sanchita about this and asked her to go to Patna, Sanchita was stunned on hearing the news of her husband's death. She committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the house. Sanchita's death caused a stir among the family members. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot. The body was sent for post-mortem. On the other hand, Harish's body has also been post-mortemed. The biggest confusion before the police now is that why did Harish, who had left for Patna, stop at Banaras? Is there any angle of salvation, because many incidents of suicide for salvation have come to light in Banaras. Now the Sarnath police is investigating this case from this angle as well.
