Hanumangarh (Rajasthan): A bomb threat letter was discovered at the Hanumangarh Railway Station on October 1, sparking immediate action by local authorities. The letter, found in a yellow envelope, was addressed to the Station Superintendent and referenced the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed. It claimed to be from an area commander named Mohammad Salim Ansari, allegedly from Jammu and Kashmir.
The threat detailed plans to target several railway stations, including Shri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Kota, Bundi, Udaipur City, and Jaipur, with bomb attacks on October 30. The letter mentioned that these attacks would be carried out in retaliation for the deaths of jihadists in Jammu and Kashmir.
Following this threat, local law enforcement, led by Additional SP Pyarelal, Inspector Santlal, and GRP SHO Mohanlal, conducted a thorough search of the Hanumangarh Railway Station and its platforms. No suspicious objects were found during the inspection.
A case has been registered against unknown individuals at the GRP station. Additional SP Pyarelal Meena confirmed the incident and assured that security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of the public. Authorities are continuing their investigations, keeping a close watch on the situation.
