Mayawati Re-elected unanimously as BSP National President

Lucknow: In a unanimous decision, Mayawati has been re-elected as the national president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). The announcement came after a special meeting involving the BSP's Central Executive Committee (CEC), senior party leaders, and representatives from various states across the country.

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) announced that Mayawati, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the party's supreme leader, has been re-elected as the National President of the BSP for the fifth consecutive term. This significant decision was made on Tuesday, August 27, further solidifying her leadership within the party.

The re-election took place in Lucknow during the BSP National Executive Committee meeting. Besides the leadership vote, the meeting was a crucial platform for discussing the party's strategies and planning the roadmap for the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. The discussions focused on reinforcing the party's presence in the state and preparing for a strong electoral performance in the near future.

At 68 years old, Mayawati has previously served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh four times. Over two decades ago, she was named as the political heir to the party's founder, Kanshi Ram.
