For many of us getting away on a holiday abroad is something to really look forward to. Whether you're seeking better weather, beautiful locations, new culture or fun activities, you might want to venture outside the UK to find it.

However, this will come at a cost, with flights and other holiday expenses often being pricey. But if you're looking for a cheap getaway there is one trick that could help you land flights for as little as £4.

Money Saving Expert (MSE), a site founded by finance guru Martin Lewis, revealed that one site is currently offering £10 off per flight this autumn, with some journeys with budget airlines like easyJet and Wizz Air therefore only costing around £5.

To make the most of the offer you need to book using Trip.com's app while using its low-fare finder. MSE explained: "Travel booking platform Trip.com offers £10 off per passenger when you book via its free app (Android / iOS). Pair this deal with its 'Low Fare Finder' deals and it's possible to find really cheap flights, mostly for travel in September and October 2024 (though we did spot one or two in November).

"Most of the really cheap flights are with easyJet; a few are with Wizz Air. We've also seen some with Pegasus Airlines in the past."

To book you'll need to download and open the app, then scroll to the 'Low Fare Finder' at the bottom and select the route and dates you want.

"The £10 per-passenger discount will already be added," MSE said. "What's more, you can use the same discount on your next two app bookings as well.

"The discount works on one-way as well as return flights, but the 'Low Fare Finder' showcases super-cheap one-way trips only. You can still grab a bargain by searching for a single trip returning home and playing with the dates."

However, you will need to act fast to get the best deals. MSE added: "Go quick if you see a flight you want - some of the bargains we saw were no longer available an hour later."

When looking on September 3, MSE found the following bargain flights:

  • Gatwick to Faro in Portugal, one way - £4
  • Faro to Gatwick, one way - £7
  • Luton to Split in Croatia, one way - £4
  • Split to Luton, one way - £7
  • Gatwick to Corfu in Greece, one way - £5
  • Corfu to Gatwick, one way - £20.

And on September 5 these deals were found by our journalist:

  • London Southend to Malaga, one way - £4
  • London Southend to Paris, one way - £4
  • Gatwick to Faro, one way - £4
  • Gatwick to Ibiza, one way - £4.

However, it is important to note that these are prices for flights only - you may need to pay for extras, such as luggage. Trip.com told MSE that this offer is ongoing.
