The long-awaited Fortnite Simpsons season is finally here... or will be following a period of server downtime.
Indeed, the Fortnite Simpsons season has a November 1 release date, but won't actually be playable until after server downtime comes to an end.
According to the Fortnite server status page, server downtime will run for around 5-hours.
This means the Fortnite Simpsons season should be playable from 8pm GMT UK time later this evening.
The news was announced by Epic Games on X: "Following the Welcome, Our Alien Overlords live event tomorrow at 11 AM ET, Fortnite will go into downtime at 11:30 AM ET (3:30 PM UTC).
"The v38.00 update drops later the same day, taking us to Springfield!"
While the server status page estimates downtime will run for around 5-hours, there's a chance timings could change, so keep checking back for more information.
In the meantime, fans can download and install update 38.00, which adds all of the new content for the new Simpsons season.
As you can see from the image at the top of the page, the latest Battle Pass features Homer, Marge, Flanders, Blinky Fishstick, and Springfielder Peely.
Additional skins will be available in the Item Shop in the coming days and weeks, including Moe, Bart Simpson and lots more.
New map locations include Moe's Tavern, The Duff Factory (Slurp Factory in Fortnite), Evergreen Terrace, the Nuclear Power Plant and Krusty Burger (Durrr Burger).
That's on top of the Jebediah Springfield statue in the Town Square, where "A Noble Spirit Embiggens The Smallest Man".
Epic Games has also shed some light on the actual gameplay for the new season. The Springfield Island supports 80-players for what is described as "a fast-paced, back-to-basics Battle Royale experience".
New Simpsons-themed gameplay will be added each week, which will be previewed by a series of animated shorts. New shorts will be released each Monday beginning on November 10.
As an added bonus, Fortnite fans will also be able to grab the new Kang and Kodos Glider by connecting an Epic and Disney account through Apps and Accounts before February 28, 2026.
