Although was busy firing on all cylinders answering general knowledge questions on celebrity special tonight, he still found the time to aim a little dig at . The English auctioneer was given the opportunity to compete for up to £45,000 on the ITV gameshow, but went in for a modest £7,000 at the advice of his teammates.
He went on to successfully answer the majority of the questions Bradley Walsh read out to him correctly, but one particularly amused him. The star was asked: "What song did Liz Truss come on stage to at the 2022 Conservative Party conference?"
Bisram chose the first option, Moving On Up, which turned out to be the correct answer. He laughed and admitted that was a guess as he couldn't remember that moment in political history.
He then went on to make his feelings on Truss known, quipping: "I thought they were going down." Bisram flew through his round and went back to his teammates Danielle Harold, John Conteh, and Roger Black with his £7,000 jackpot.
Liz Truss had the shortest stint as Prime Minister that has ever been seen in British history. She resigned from the position just 45 days after accepting her post. She then went on to lose her seat to Labour in the 2024 general election.
Ahead of exiting Downing Street, Truss admitted she may have gone "too fast and too far" with the economic reforms she proposed. While she was in charge of the government, she proposed £45 billion of unfunded tax cuts, which led to international stock market chaos.
Bisram previously shared some of his own political opinions before his appearance on The Chase, admitting that while he thinks the current focus on diversity has helped some minority figures, it has hindered others who earned their positions based on merit.
He told : "We have this diversity thing now, which isn't necessarily always good. Some of the other people in the TV world have said 'he's only here because he's dark-skinned.'
"That's wrong, because I have always believed you should only be doing a job on merit. It doesn't matter who you are, what colour you are. You shouldn't be doing a job because you tick boxes. It degrades you."
The antiques expert also revealed he had to work "twice as hard" as his white counterparts both in the TV industry and during his time in the armed forces. He added: "I know that I have to put in double the effort so no one has an excuse to get rid of me. People will tell you're treated exactly the same but you're not really."
