Jermaine Jenas has teased a return to television after his high-profile exit from the BBC amid a sexting scandal.

In a recent social media post, the former footballer hinted at 'exciting' projects on the horizon, signalling his determination to make a comeback after being dropped from his hosting duties on The One Show and Match of the Day.

The 41-year-old broke his silence on Instagram, where he addressed the difficult period following his recent sexting scandal.

Jenas acknowledge the mistakes he made but expressed his commitment to "grow" and "learn" from the experience.

Speaking to his 211,000 followers for the first time since the controversy, he said: "It's been a difficult period for me, but one that I'll definitely grow from. We're human beings, and we all make mistakes. What matters is that we learn from them."

He was then interrupted by his dog and joked: 'It's the timing. Like, I'm trying to say something important and he decides to take a s***. I'll come back to you, I've got to pick this up.'

Looking ahead, the ex-footballer hinted at a potential return to TV, teasing his followers with exciting projects in the pipeline. "I've got some exciting stuff I've been working on, so there's plenty to look forward to soon," he said.

"Hopefully, I'll be back talking about football, which I love."

Reflecting on the scandal, he added: "None of us are perfect, and we've got to find a way to keep moving forward, to take care of our families the best way we can."

Jenas went on to acknowledge the support he's received, saying: "Thank you, really. It's been an eye-opener, and I've reconnected with so many of you who've been kind enough to send me messages."

The father-of-four was abruptly sacked in August by the BBC for sending 'inappropriate messages' to two female colleagues, something he later admitted left him feeling ashamed and fighting to save his 13-year marriage to Ellie Penfold.

An official spokesperson confirmed: "He is no longer part of our presenting line-up."

The former player has criticized how the corporation handled his firing and revealed that he's in talks with his lawyers about the situation.

In a candid interview with The Sun, Jenas apologized to the women involved, saying: "I feel ashamed. I've let everyone down-friends, family, colleagues."

He added: "The handling of the situation wasn't great. It was quick, and it felt like hell." Jenas expressed frustration over the lack of coordination in how his dismissal was communicated, calling the process "shocking."
