Former star s girlfriend Kate Cassidy left her boyfriend in Argetina just three days before he died as more shocking details emerge about the circumstances of his tragic death

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ that Payne and his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, arrived in Argentina on September 30, sharing multiple social media posts of their vacation. However, Cassidy reportedly left Argentina on October 14, leaving Payne behind, who checked into the CasaSur Palermo Hotel alone.

Kate shared a video of her return to the states with her Snpachat followers, showing off her outfits and food as she dined on the long flight home.

The 31-year-old singer was in South America for a concert performance and spent days in Argentina with girlfriend Kate.

Kate has been active on TikTok up until two days ago, sharing videos from Argentina and even a photo post of her on a horse and the many food options she had.

She also included a photo where you could see Liam's arm.

One of Kate's posts from two days ago was her flying back to her native Florida, solo.

"soooo happpiii to b back in sunshine state," she captioned the video.

In the video, she explained they were only supposed to be in town for five days, but it turned into two weeks.

Kate and Liam have been together off and on since 2022, with first photos of them out in public coming out around November that year. They broke up in May 2023, but were seen back together the next month and have been together ever since.

The situation took a dramatic turn earlier today when hotel staff called 911, reporting an "aggressive" male in the hotel, which matches witness accounts describing Payne's erratic behaviour in the lobby shortly before his death.

In an alleged turn of events leading up to his death, sources also claim that Payne smashed his laptop in a fit of anger shortly before the incident.

Local media, including La Nacion and Clarin, have confirmed that emergency services were called to the scene following reports of "an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol".

When police and paramedics arrived, they found Payne in the hotel's interior patio, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

The circumstances leading to the fall are still under investigation.
