Marcus Rashford 'eyed by Juventus' as Man Utd double deal in the works

Juventus are eyeing a move for Marcus Rashford in a bid to end his Manchester United exile. The 27-year-old, along with four other outcasts at Old Trafford, has been instructed to stay away from the first-team squad during pre-season.

Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia have all been told to train after 5pm, once the rest of the Red Devils' squad have left Carrington. Manager Ruben Amorim doesn't envision a future for any of these players at United, who are actively looking to offload them.

Barcelona have long been tipped as the favourites to sign Rashford after Aston Villa chose not to exercise their £40million option to buy following his loan spell. However, despite Rashford's brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard, being seen meeting Barca sporting director Deco in Catalunya last month, the La Liga champions have yet to make a move.

This has left the door open for Juventus, who according to Sky Sport Italia, are assessing the feasibility of a deal. Like United, Juve are keen to revamp their attack this summer and have made strikers Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik, as well as winger Timothy Weah, available for transfer.

Rashford isn't the only United player that the Serie A heavyweights have shown interest in. Juventus have also been in discussions over a potential move for Sancho, who spent last season on loan at Chelsea, helping them clinch the Conference League title.

Reports have emerged that Sancho has settled personal terms with Juventus and is willing to bide his time to secure a move to Turin. The 25-year-old winger might attempt to persuade Rashford to join him at the Italian giants, though his preferred destination remains Barcelona.

Rashford has openly expressed his ambition to play for Hansi Flick's team, despite the fact that the Spanish club have not yet made an official bid to United. Meanwhile, Barcelona's main target is Luis Diaz, whom Liverpool are determined to retain, as evidenced by their rejection of a £58.6m offer from Bayern Munich this week.

While vacationing in Marbella last month, Rashford dropped a subtle hint to Barcelona during an interaction with the Spanish YouTube channel XBuyer. When quizzed about playing alongside Barca's young talent Lamine Yamal in the future, Rashford responded affirmatively.

"Yeah, sure. Everybody in the world wants to play with the best," he said. "So hopefully, we'll see."

He then added: "Spain is nice, it's not too far from home. If I'm training over a long period, my family can come for a few days, it's a nice location and good weather."
