Mike Tindall shows his true colours in new picture with Zara as subtle gesture decoded

Mike Tindall appears to show his true feelings in a new picture alongside his wife, Zara Tindall. The 44-year-old royal - who is the only daughter of Princess Anne - tied the knot to the former rugby professional, 46, on this day in 2011.

Just days before celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary, Mike took to Instagram to share a new picture with his wife watching the rugby. Alongside the picture, the caption read: "What a day Saturday was!! Lions an incredible come back, but massive shift by the Wallabies, frustrated no doubt but they get one more chance next Saturday!!."

The picture, which was taken in Australia, shows Mike with a "tight shoulder hold" around his wife.

A body language expert has discussed a subtle gesture of Mike's pose in the new picture.

Speaking exclusively to the Express on behalf of Betfair Slots, expert Darren Stanton said: "Mike adopts a gesture with his hand that we call an illustrator, which shows how someone is feeling in a certain situation.

"The gesture - which is a tight shoulder hold - is very much saying 'we are a tight unit', we are one - which I think is a really nice sentiment."

Tying the knot on July 30, 2011, the couple's nuptials took place in Edinburgh at the Canongate Kirk - just three months after Prince William married Princess Kate in London.

Unlike the weddings of their cousins, Zara and Mike's special day was not televised - making it a decidedly more low-key affair for the royals.

Zara and Mike, who first met in 2003, are known for their frequent public displays of affection - with one body language expert previously saying that they often look more in love than ever.

The couple have since welcomed three children together - Mia, 11, Lena, seven, and four-year-old Lucas.
