Newcastle have reportedly tabled three bids totalling £125million as they look to breathe a fresh lease of life into their squad this summer. The Magpies are pushing for reinforcements at both ends of the pitch, with talks ongoing to sign Brighton star Joao Pedro, Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga and Burnley shot-stopper James Trafford.
Eddie Howe's side triple swoop is a major sign of intent from the Toon Army as they look to prepare themselves for another stab at Champions League football following an impressive campaign last season.
According to the Telegraph, Newcastle are in talks with Brighton, Forest and Burnley over a 'hugely ambitious' triple swoop, with an offer on the table for each of their respective targets and negotiations ongoing.
The Magpies are long-term admirers of Pedro and have 'verbally discussed' bids in the region of £50m for the Brazilian forward. The Seagulls are open to offloading their No. 9 this summer, but they want to 'maximise' the transfer fee they receive.

The St James' Park outfit have also tabled a £50m bid for Elanga, despite their insistence that the Sweden international is not for sale. The offer for Trafford is worth £25m and talks are ongoing with the Premier League newcomers.
All three clubs are currently 'seeking more' for their respective stars and negotiations are expected to continue over the coming days. Newcastle have been given a major incentive in the trio of transfer talks though as all three targets are said to be keen to join the Magpies and would 'love' to play under Howe on Tyneside.
Newcastle will be hopeful that they can advance in talks for Trafford sooner rather than later, with the goalkeeper having a 'gentleman's agreement' in place with Burnley to leave the club ahead of next season - though that has not made agreeing a fee any easier at this stage and talks are described as 'problematic'.
There is also the possibility that Newcastle decide to pull the plug on pursuing either Pedro or Elanga if they manage to strike an agreement for one of the two. Howe is hoping to bolster his ranks with both players, but if talks hit a major stumbling block with either Brighton or Forest then turning to alternative options is not being ruled out at this stage.
