Queen Elizabeth allegedly made quite a sharp remark about Meghan Markle just weeks before her death in 2022, it has been claimed. The late Queen passed away on September 8, 2022, and by then the Royal Family's relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was already at a boiling point.
Prince Harry and Meghan quit their royal roles in early 2020, and despite some of their explosive projects with claims against the royals being released after the late Queen's death, there were some which came out when she was still alive. One of them was the infamous Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021, where the Sussexes made a series of claims about their life within the Firm.
Despite her declining health, Elizabeth hosted a drinks reception at Balmoral in August, which is where she ended up spending her final moments a few weeks later.

While there, the late monarch reportedly described Meghan Markle as "evil" to a group of guests.
A source told the Spectator in 2023: "It was out of character for the [late] Queen to use such a word as 'evil' to describe Meghan, but she saw straight through her. It was a startling sentence to hear from the most forgiving woman on earth."
The source added: "At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the monarch and she explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a complete catastrophe and described her as evil.
"By this point, we all knew the Queen's health was in decline and she had months left, she seemed regretful about how things had panned out."
The Sussexes have never made any allegations against Elizabeth and always claimed they had a good relationship with her.
During the Oprah interview, Meghan said about the late Queen: "The [late] Queen, for example, has always been wonderful to me. I mean, we had one of our first joint engagements together.
"She asked me to join her. We had breakfast together that morning, and she'd given me a beautiful gift, and I just really loved being in her company. She gave me beautiful pearl earrings and a matching necklace. And we were in the car going between engagements, and she has a blanket that sits across her knees for warmth.
"And it was chilly, and she was like, 'Meghan, come on' and put it over my knees as well...it made me think of my grandmother, where she's always been warm and inviting and really welcoming."
