Shetland fans 'work out' killer as mysterious death rocks remote village

Shetland fans are predicting another killing following a shocking revelation in the latest episode ofthe crime drama.

The current run of the BBC programme sees Detective Inspector Alison "Tosh" McIntosh (Alison O'Donnell) and Detective Inspector Ruth Calder (Ashley Jensen) investigating the death of former social worker Eadie Tulloch in the isolated community of Lunniswick.

So far, their enquiry has led them to scrutinise several potential culprits, including an elderly man whose wife suffers from dementia and siblings Amy (Joanne Thomson) and Stevie Shannon (Chloe-Ann Tylor), who harboured grievances against the victim due to her handling of their case during childhood.

Stevie had travelled to visit sister Amy in Shetland, staying with her, her partner and their child.

Yet audiences were convinced something seemed amiss from the outset, reports the Daily Record.

During one scene, Amy and her partner received a police visit following a bogus disturbance report at their residence - and fans suspected Stevie had placed the call.

As the instalment concluded, Stevie was observed speaking to her nephew, declaring menacingly: "We are a family... you, your mum, me, family. Just the three of us." Tosh then uncovered that during Stevie's time in children's homes, she would manipulate fellow youngsters, turning them against one another before getting them to run away with her.

Numerous viewers now believe she spells trouble - and that her sister's husband is in danger.

One viewer took to X (formerly Twitter) to suggest that Stevie was "coming over as a wee bit of a psycho". "Stevie is behind that phone call, she is trying to split up her sister and the husband... Obsessive, wants the sister to herself?" they speculated, before later posting: "Stevie is seriously disturbed... yup I was right, she wants the sister all to herself."

"Stevie is trouble... big trouble," another fan declared, while someone else added: "Stevie is planning to murder her sister's hubby."

"I suspect severe abandonment issues which has fixated on her sister obsession, explains trying to get kids to run away with her from homes, splitting her from her sister was traumatic and very very dangerous," another person commented. "This case is giving so many twists and turns!!!" an excited fan of the TV drama exclaimed.
