Sky News broadcaster Mark Austin announced "Donald Trump is not going to like it" after receiving news from Russian correspondent Ivor Bennett. The stage has been set on the tarmac at Elmendorf Air Base for the arrival of US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. It comes as it was announced the US President was the first to arrive. Trump has previously said on his way to Alaska he'll "walk" if the talks go south. He also threatened "severe" consequences on Russia if Putin doesn't agree to end the war. And he's promised to downgrade a planned joint press conference to a solo appearance if he doesn't like Putin's offers.
In a fresh update host Mark shared that talks between Russia and the US could potentially last between six to seven hours, much to Trump's disappointment. Mark began: "Our Russian correspondent Ivor Bennett is also there [Alaska] with the Russian delegation. An interesting point James makes about the Russians. This could go on for six to seven hours. Donald Trump might not like that. What do you make of that suggestion it could be a lengthy summit?"
Ivor replied: "The fact that the summit could last six to seven hours shows they have a lot more to discuss here rather than just Ukraine.
They've made no secret that they want to discuss the trade and investment offers that could be on offer."
He explained that while Trump will attempt to have "stronger relations with Moscow" he added in "reality it could be very far from progress".
