It seems that tennis prowess definitely runs in the family of . The four-time Grand Slam champion and current world No.2 is currently out in Saudi Arabia preparing for his Six Kings Slam exhibition match with Holger Rune, while back in his native Spain it's his younger brother suddenly grabbing headlines.
Jaime, 13, has already played in nine tournaments at junior level, winning nine of his 18 junior matches.
That's despite playing a year above his age-grade, with his latest showing seeing him make the last-16 of the Gran Canaria Yellow Bowl event.
And now new video footage has underlined some striking similarities with his sibling. A post on X, uploaded by tennis journalist Marcos Zugasti, shows marked similarities in the movement and ball striking of the pair.
"Jaime Alcaraz plays tennis like this at 13-years-old and he looks more like his brother 'Carlitos' than Carlos Alcaraz himself," wrote Zugasti. "Leave something for the rest of the world, crazy."
Tennis fans all seemed to be in agreement, with @gatrybs saying:" I thought he is young Carlos Alcaraz until I read the text. Wow he plays so good... I hope he has a spot in the Les Petits AS 2025."
Les Petits As is a junior tournament for players aged 12-14, held annually in Tarbes, France. It's one of five Super Category tournaments on the under-14 circuit of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour, and widely seen as the most prestigious prize on the circuit for players of that age.
@sajlent5 was equally impressed, typing: "Holy s**t, his forehand and backhand motion look exactly the same." @shmoopie1812 added: "Great footwork and the determination to chase everything. Impressive."
@TheTennisLetter also predicted big things for the youngster, saying: "It looks like he's going to be very very good. I guess it runs in the family." @SliceDaSilva even noted comparisons when each was in trouble, saying: "They are both the same even when they fall on their a**es to the ground trying to save a ball."
Jaime, who already has 34,6000 followers on Instagram, was one of the most talked about spectators at this summer, where . The 21-year-old duly celebrated with a photoshoot with all three of his brothers, as Sergio and Alvaro posed alongside Jaime.
However, isolated followers did also sound caution, warning against too much pressure being put on Alcaraz Jnr. @BWOHB said: "Leave him alone. He's 13 and doesn't need this. Let him have his privacy."
