Public records uncovered on Tuesday revealed that the British football icon's probate totalled a staggering £4,765,370, which after settling debts and expenses left an estate valued at £3,289,952. His wife Yvette is the designated sole recipient of his wealth, according to a will penned six years prior to Venables' passing.
Gary Lineker, who spent time with Venables at Barcelona in 1986 and subsequently at Tottenham, made 143 appearances under his stewardship, netting 66 goals and participating in Spurs' triumphant 1991 FA Cup campaign.
Lineker expressed his profound sorrow with a moving homage to his late mentor. "Devastated to hear that Terry Venables has died," the Match of the Day presenter wrote on social media.
"The best, most innovative coach that I had the privilege and pleasure of playing for. He was much more, though, than just a great manager, he was vibrant, he was charming, he was witty, he was a friend."

Former England manager Gareth Southgate also honoured Venables' legacy. "He was open minded, forward thinking, enjoyed life to the full and created a brilliant environment with England that allowed his players to flourish and have one of the most memorable tournaments in England history."
Southgate concluded by saying: "A brilliant man, who made people feel special, I'm very sad to hear of his passing and my thoughts are with Yvette and all of his family."
