1st Phorm Reacts To Founder Andy Frisella's Comments On Female Police Officers: 'Do Not Agree'

Andy Frisella, the founder of a popular health supplement company, faced massive backlash for comments made on a podcast about female police officers. After his comments, the company's co-founder and CEO, Andy Frisella's brother, Sal Frisella, dissociated the company and himself from comments made by Andy. Appearing on the 'Real AF' podcast, Andy Frisella commented about female police officers, seemingly questioning their competency over being female.“There’s a lot of police officers, and to be completely honest especially women police officers, who f***ing try to emasculate men,” Frisella said. “And that’s why, in my opinion, women shouldn’t be in the f***ing field and police officers. I just don’t think they should be.” After massive backlash over the comments made by his brother, San Frisella, the CEO of 1st Phorm, issued a statement dissociated from the comments. "The clip originated from his personal podcast, which is not affiliated with 1st Phorm, and the comments made towards women in law enforcement do not reflect the views of 1st Phorm," he said in a statement. "We do not agree with his statements, and we do not condone the words or the context in which they were presented." Andy Frisella's comments went viral on social media, with many, including several female police officers, accusing him of misogyny. Despite his issuing an apology claiming that he 'sometimes' overgeneralises things, the backlash has not subsided.“Did I overgeneralise? Yeah, for sure, and I do that sometimes. That's the nature of how I speak,” Frisella said. “I said some things on the show on Thursday that after thinking about it, and after having it pointed out to me that I feel very regretful for saying embarrassed that I said it doesn't reflect who I am."Meanwhile, St. Louis County and St. Louis Metropolitan police released statements slamming Andy Frisella's comments saying that they were cutting all ties with him.
