After enduring a nightmare debut on Saturday as Abhishek was dismissed for a four-ball duck the young opener redeemed himself a day later.After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Indian skipper Shubman Gill was dismissed on two runs, but Abhishek joined hands with Ruturaj Gaikwad to put India on top. The young opener opened his account in international cricket with a six and he also reached his half-century with a maximum. Abhishek needed just 33 balls to score his maiden fifty and he converted the inning into his first T20I century in the next 13 balls. Sharma was batting at 82 and slammed three back-to-back sixes to notch his century. His inning was laced with seven boundaries and eight sixes. The Indian youngster who made his debut a day earlier was in ultra-destructive mode as he smashed 28 runs in the 11th over of India's inning. After completing his century, Abhishek Sharma was dismissed and later his skipper Shubman Gill gave him a hug. The two of them go a long way back and have played under age cricket with each other for many years. Witnessing the historic knock from Abhishek let alone fans, even IPL teams couldn't control their excitement. Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Kings and even Kolkata Knight Riders congratulated the youngster while Suryakumar Yadav also put a story on Instagram for the 23-year-old.
