Donald Trump would beat all of President Joe Biden's potential replacements, a new poll shows. This comes as Democrats reportedly want their 2024 candidate to step down after his dismal show at the first presidential debate. Vice president Kamala Harris, former First Lady Michelle Obama and California governor Gavin Newsom are amongst the many who are being seen as hsis replacements - if the president decides to withdraw hs candidature. FiveThirtyEight, a company that works on opinion poll analysis, politics, economics, and sports blogging in the US, cited a group of polls conducted by the Data for Progress showed Donald Trump defeating potential Biden replacements including Newsom and Kamala Harris. Data for Progress research used responses of more than 1000 people. It further showed that the presumptive Republican nominee would beat Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg 47 to 44 if the election were held today. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker would also lose a hypothetical election against the former president. Other candidates studied by the new poll included Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.Read More: Trump vs Biden: What Are Their Views On Health And Childcare?Joe Biden, too, is not in a good shape. According to the Data for Progress poll on Friday, Trump would beat the incumbent by at least 3% points. Biden is expected to hold a meeting with Democratic stakeholders to discuss the future of his candidature on Sunday.
