After social media users posted about a possible shooting at Boca Raton's town center on Saturday, there was panic all around. However, authorities are yet to confirm these reports. The Town Center at Boca Raton, which is often referred to as Boca Town Center, is an upscale shopping mall located in the Florida city. It is owned and operated by Simon Property Group since 1998.On Saturday, around 5:00 PM, a Reddit user posted about chaos at the Boca Raton town center. They confirmed that their family was at the mall, where people were saying there's an active shooter. "Family member is there now and people are running out of the mall saying there’s an active shooter," the Reddit user said.

Hope it was nothing," the person commented. A third one soon chipped in, saying: "I work at the mall, one of the security guards said kids were fighting and started setting off fireworls."Boca Raton police department has not issued a statement clarifying these reports. Meanwhile, one report - from a website called CNS 12 - emerged claiming there was actually a shooting incident. "Law enforcement officials and emergency crews are responding to report of an unconfirmed shooting at Boca mall. The incident occurred Saturday at Boca mall in Boca Raton," it reported. However, the article did not cite any official or department.
