Initially, trains were halted for nearly an hour as rainwater inundated the tracks. Although the water has since receded, services remain disrupted.

The Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) stated, "Due to heavy rainfall in the Mumbai Suburban and Harbour Line, train traffic was delayed. Affected stations include Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Kurla-Vikhroli, and Bhandup."Efforts are underway to normalise the suburban and Harbour Line services amid ongoing weather challenges. Commuters are advised to check for updates and plan their travel accordingly.Similarly, train services in Mumbai were affected yesterday after heavy rainfall disrupted local train operations, leading to the suspension of services on routes deemed unsafe by Central Railway. Specifically, local train services between Kasara and Titwala stations in Maharashtra's Thane district were halted on Sunday morning due to waterlogging on the tracks caused by the rain.Officials reported that soil had washed onto the tracks between Atgaon and Thansit stations around 6:30 am. Additionally, a fallen tree near Vashind station further exacerbated delays along the crucial Kalyan-Kasara route.
