The Kannada romantic drama Murphy is set to hit the big screens this Friday, October 18. Directed by BSP Varma and produced by Somanna Talkies in collaboration with VarnaSindhu Studios, the film promises a captivating blend of love, fantasy, and the passage of time.

Deep emotions and fantasy Murphy features Prabhu Mundkur, Roshini Prakash, Ila Veeramalla, and Dattanna in lead roles.According to the makers, the film revolves around deep emotions, with fantasy and the concept of time playing crucial roles in shaping the narrative. Prabhu Mundkur, the lead actor shares, "Imagine for a moment—a person close to your heart, who is no longer with you, calls you on your phone and addresses you as they normally would. The emotions surging through you in this moment is what Murphy will be.”

The story is co-written by director BSP Varma and lead actor Prabhu Mundkur. The original background score is composed by Sylvester Pradeep, while Arjun Janya, Rajat Hegde, and Keerthan Holla have contributed to the film’s music. Adarsha R helmed the cinematography, with sound design by MR Rajakrishnan, and Sreejith Sarang serving as the colorist. The ensemble cast also includes Ashwin Rao Pallakki, Mahantesh Hiremath, and Ram Manjjonath.
