Jaipur/Ajmer: The Ajmer region of CBSE ranked 10th amongst 17 regions with a 90.4% pass percentage in Class 12 results declared Tuesday. In Class 10, the region secured 6th position nationally, achieving a 95.4% pass rate. The region maintained its Class 12 position from the previous year but dropped one spot in Class 10 rankings.
In the previous year, Ajmer region had achieved the fifth position in Class 10 with 97.1% passing rate, while retaining the 10th position in Class 12 with 89.5% success rate.
Female students continued to excel compared to male students across both classes. The Ajmer region recorded 93.3% pass rate for girls and 88.% for boys in Class 12. For Class 10, girls achieved 96.44% while boys secured 94.7%.
The Ajmer region, encompassing Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, saw 1.2 lakh Class 12 registrations with 1.2 lakh students appearing for examinations. For Class 10.1 lakh students registered, of which 1.4 lakh took the examinations.
In Jaipur, Debanshi Shekhawat from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School, Pratap Nagar, achieved 99.8% in Humanities, among the highest in the city. Saniya Chaudhary from Asian World School secured 98.2% in Humanities.
For Class 10, Saatvik Kanoongo from Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan School Munshi Road scored 499/500, emerging as one of the city's top performers, according to various sources.
Shambhavi Surpur from Jayshree Periwal Global School, who secured 99.2% in Class 10 said, "My score is the result of efforts of my teachers and family. I made sure that whenver I study it is with complete concentration, even if short hours. I focused on completing my syllabus before pre-board examinations itself"
Class 12 student Sarthak Agarwal from Dharav High School achieved 96.2% in CBSE examinations. "The board exams and preparation for it taught me time management and how to deal with pressure. I am hoping to crack JEE Advanced now."
"My success is the result of constant support from my family and school.
Family's support was a big motivation because where everyone felt pressurised and stressed for the exams, they motivated me to give my best," said Sharma. Apart from studies, Sharma spent time doodling, sketching, and meditating for recreation, which in turn helped her to be more patient and relaxed for the exams.
