The Asian Cricket Council has officially confirmed that the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates from September 9 to 28. This year’s tournament will see eight teams in action, making it the biggest edition yet.
In a major talking point, arch-rivals India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group. The two teams are set to clash on September 14, a match that is already being billed as one of the biggest fixtures of the year. India will begin their campaign on September 10 against UAE, followed by games against Pakistan and Oman.

ACC President Mohsin Naqvi said that hosting the tournament in the UAE will bring fans from across Asia together. He also highlighted the importance of giving more teams a platform to compete at the highest level.
The Asia Cup will be played across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Although Pakistan are the official hosts, the BCCI had agreed earlier to move the event to a neutral venue. This is in line with ACC’s long-standing policy when either India or Pakistan host.
India are the defending champions, having won the 2023 title under Rohit Sharma. This edition will also serve as preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup in February 2026, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka.
