Indian cricketer Rinku Singh is set to get engaged to Samajwadi Party leader Priya Saroj on June 8. The ceremony will be held at a hotel in Lucknow. With his IPL 2025 season with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) wrapped up, Rinku now has time to focus on personal milestones.
Earlier, speculation had been rife that the couple was already engaged. However, it has now been confirmed that the formal engagement is scheduled for this month.

Priya’s father, Tufani Saroj , a current MLA from the Samajwadi Party, had previously confirmed that the two had expressed their wish to marry and had sought approval from both families. “The engagement has not happened yet; only initial discussions have taken place,” he told ANI at the time.
Rinku had a modest IPL season this year, scoring 206 runs in 10 innings at an average of 29.42 and a healthy strike rate of 153.73. KKR failed to make the playoffs, ending their campaign in eighth place with 12 points and a net run rate of -0.305.
Despite the underwhelming IPL, Rinku remains a crucial part of India’s T20I setup. Since making his debut in 2023 against Ireland, the 27-year-old has played 30 T20Is, scoring 507 runs at a strong average of 46.09 and an impressive strike rate of 165.14.
