The National Institute of Open Schooling ( NIOS ) has commenced the public theory examinations for Class 10 and 12 for the April 2025 session. The exams will be held in the afternoon shift from April 1 to May 19, 2025, across various centres in India and overseas. While the examination in Indian centres will begin at 2:30 PM, it will start at 3:00 PM in overseas centres.
On the first day, Class 12 students will appear for the Bharatiya Darshan paper and Class 10 candidates will write the Entrepreneurship paper. Students must carry their NIOS hall ticket or intimation-cum-hall ticket downloaded from the official website, sdmis.nios.ac.in.
The NIOS conducts the Class 10 and 12 public examinations twice a year, offering students up to nine chances within a five-year period to successfully clear the exams. Additionally, as clarified earlier by the National Medical Commission ( NMC ), students enrolled under NIOS are eligible to appear for NEET UG 2025, with the National Testing Agency ( NTA ) adhering to the applicable regulations.
