Jennifer Lopez has emerged on the scene once again, this time to promote her new film, 'Unstoppable', under the newly launched 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 6. Her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, produced the film, marking his debut with the singer-actress, whom he married in 2022. Lopez donned a silver gown made by Tamara Ralph, whose design was accentuated by black bows running down both sides of her body to grace the festival. The split occurred a year and one week after the couple filed for their divorce in August 2024. It is her first public appearance since she filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024. However, Affleck was noticeably absent from the premiere.

She walked the red carpet with a few of her co-stars from 'Unstoppable', including Bobby Cannavale, Jharrel Jerome, Don Cheadle, and fellow producer Matt Damon. 'American Underdog' is the inspiring true story of Anthony Robles who, born with one leg, defied the odds in wrestling to win a national title at Arizona State University.

Lopez and Affleck's marriage ended after two years with the filing of a divorce complaint filed on August 20, 2024. The couple who got engaged for the first time in 2002 and later called it off in 2004, reunited in 2021, married a year later, and marked their second wedding anniversary in Georgia.

In the early 2024, Affleck appeared alongside Lopez in her music project 'This Is Me. Now: A Love Story' and the accompanying documentary 'The Greatest Love Story Never Told'. Their marriage, of course, was not without its issues but three months before its end, Lopez also announced she would not be going on summer tour, citing needing time for her children and family.

Neither of the two commented on their break-up publicly but from what's in court documents, Lopez filed a case requesting the change of name and return of her last name back to Lopez from Affleck besides her request for denial of spousal support for both parties.

In the days following filing for divorce, Lopez began sharing a series of photos from her summer on social media. Some of the posts included messages of optimism-she posted one that read, "Everything is unfolding in divine order," and another with a shirt stating, "She's in bloom and unbothered/out of reach and at peace." The singing and acting star seemed set on her own peace and moving on at this difficult time.
