Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, is poised to take the silver screen by storm. This stunning newcomer isn't just about lineage - with a captivating personality and a slew of promising projects on the horizon, Shanaya is carving her own path to stardom.

In a previous interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sanjay Kapoor discussed his daughter Shanaya Kapoor's upcoming film debut. He acknowledged the inevitable comparisons she might face with her cousins Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor once she enters the film industry.

Reflecting on his own experience, Sanjay noted that comparisons were not new, recalling how he himself had been compared with his brother, Anil Kapoor, in their generation. He emphasized that facing such comparisons is a part of the industry and expressed confidence in Shanaya's ability to carve her own path.

He mentioned that in his time, when he began his career, such comparisons were common initially. People tend to discuss it for a film or two before moving on. He noted that currently, when a movie featuring Sonam releases, the focus is solely on her, not comparisons with Anil. Similarly, when Arjun's film comes out, the attention shifts to him, without dwelling on comparisons with Anil or himself and Arjun.

He further mentioned, "It’s only for a film or two… it’s a normal thing, you have to take it in your stride. Finally, it’s your family, so you will be a little bit compared. After a while, it just dies a natural death. After that, it’s the kind of roles you do. Today especially the rules as soon different to when we started.”

On the professional front, Sanjay Kapoor recently portrayed the role of Rannvijay Singh, the pauper king, in the multi-starrer "Murder Mubarak" alongside Pankaj Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. Prior to that, he played a significant role in the Netflix film "Merry Christmas," co-starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.
