Optical illusion: Can you spot 'DOG' in this image?

Send Push
You might have come across different optical illusions, brain teasers and puzzles and each of them would have definitely amazed you with their difficulty level. Here's another such challenging optical illusion that has left many scratching their heads.

In this challenge, you have to spot the word DOG. For someone, it might seem easy at first glance as all the letters that are present in the word DOG are available in the image but finding the right sequence of letters as in DOG is difficult to find.

Why are optical illusions difficult to solve?
Optical illusions are difficult to solve because they manipulate how the brain interprets visual information, and this creates a conflict between perception and reality. Our brain is wired to recognize familiar patterns and make quick judgments based on past experiences.

Optical illusions often distort or alter patterns in ways that confuse us and hence lands us in making incorrect conclusions. For example, illusions may play with shapes, colors, and spatial arrangements, tricking the brain into perceiving motion or depth where there is none.

How do optical illusions work? Our brain interprets visual stimuli by making assumptions about what it should expect to see. Optical illusions deliberately destroy the expectations and hence, it is even harder for us to decode meaning from the image. For example, in pictures containing ambiguous figures or hidden objects, the brain fails to differentiate between multiple interpretations of the same thing.

Because each individual brain processes visual information differently, people view illusions differently. Some illusions are very challenging because of their specific targets for cognitive bias or mental shortcuts. Such complexity makes it quite challenging to solve optical illusions and is therefore a very interesting subject, as it studies human perception and cognition.
