Budh Pradosh Vrat 2024: Pradosh Vrat is considered as one of the most auspicious Vrat which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This day holds a great religious significance among Hindus. Pradosh which falls on Wednesday that is known as Budh Pradosh Vrat. In the month of July, Pradosh fast will be observed on Trayodashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashadha. Pardosh Vrat will be observed tomorrow i.e., on July 3, 2024.

Budh Pradosh Vrat 2024: Significance

Pradosh Vrat holds an immense religious and spiritual significance in Hindu religion. This day is dedicated to worship Lord Shiva. Pradosh Vrat occurs twice a month during Shukla Paksha and on this sacred day of Trayodashi tithi, devotees observe Pradosh Vrat. In the month of Ashadh, Budh Pradosh Vrat is going to be observed. People offer prayers to Lord Shiva by observing fast, follow puja rituals, chant various mantras dedicated to Mahadev, recite Shiv Chalisa, perform abhishekam to shivlingam.

Pradosh is the most significant day to perform all the religious and even spiritual activities to get the mental peace and desired wish fulfillments. The one who worship Lord Shiva with pure intentions, devotion and dedication, Lord Shiva bestow them with happiness, prosperity and good health.

Budh Pardosh Vrat 2024: Rituals

Wake up early in the morning and take a bath before starting puja rituals. They should clean the home and puja room then take wooden plank to place an idol of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Light a diya with desi ghee and offer white mogra flowers, seasonal fruits and home made white sweets. Devotees should chant Mantras - Panchakshari Mantra, Maha Mrtiyunjaya Mantra to appease the Lord. Then visit temple and perform shivling abhishekam with Panchamrit. In the evening again perform puja to Lord Shiva and then chant aarti - "Jai Shiv Omkara". Offer bhog prasad which must be sattvik and then breask your fast.
