Festivals in July 2024 : The month of July is starting with the light rains. The weather is changing from scorching hot weather to a relief but still people are advised to stay hydrated. In the month of July, there are so many fast and festival observances coming and people are eagerly waiting for them to celebrate. According to the Hindu calendar, this is Ashadha Month and by the end of this month, Shravana is also going to start. So, let's check out the important observances.
July month is starting with Yogini Ekadashi Vrat , Pradosh Vrat and then Amavasya. In this sacred month, Gup Navratri will also begin in which people worship the nine forms of Maa Durga.
One of the most prominent festival Jagannatha Rath Yatra is coming with a bang and a large number of devotees are going to take part in this Yatra from all over the country. Then Sun will change its position from Gemini to Cancer.
After this, Lord Vishnu will go to Ksheer Sagar for four months and this day is observed as Dev Shayani Ekadashi and Chaturmaas will also begin from this. The whole country will also celebrated Guru Purnima and on this auspicious day, people express their gratitude to their respective Gurus.
Shravana Month , which is dedicated to Lord Shiva will also begin after Purnima. This month two Mangala Gauri Vrat and two Shravana Somvar will be observed by the devotees. July month will end with Kamika Ekadashi and devotees observe fast and offer prayers to Lord Vishnu.
