WWE Legend Presents Noche UFC Lucha Mask To Dana White

Send Push
The first-ever UFC event held in The Sphere drew a massive audience, a turnout that lived up to the high expectations set by UFC President Dana White . Among the many star-studded athletes in attendance, WWE legend Rey Mysterio was spotted at the event alongside his son, Dominik. Mysterio, one of the most recognizable figures in pro wrestling, received a massive ovation when he appeared on the big screen, a moment that resonated with both MMA and WWE fans, given the significant crossover between the two fan bases.

After the intense main event, an interaction between two icons took place backstage when Dana White met with Rey Mysterio. The two combat sports legends embraced, creating a moment that quickly became a fan favorite. Fans flooded social media with praise for the encounter, with one fan calling it an "awesome moment." Another fan expressed admiration for the significance of the gesture, stating, "Man, for a Luchador to take off his MASK in front of you is a great honor!"

What made the moment even more special was Mysterio’s decision to gift White his custom Mexican-themed mask, which he wore to honor Noche UFC 306. The WWE superstar personally removed the mask from his face and handed it to White, an act that fans understood to be highly significant, given Mysterio’s long-standing Lucha Libre persona. This sparked a range of reactions from fans, including one who said, "If Rey took his mask off in front of me I think I'd s*** myself."

Other comments poured in, with fans remarking on the moment: "Cameraman understood the assignment," "Dana is just so weird," and "Elsewhere Dominik Mysterio hating," capturing the playful and excited reactions from fans across the board.

Is Dana White involved with WWE?

Since late 2023, Dana White and UFC have collaborated more closely with WWE under the umbrella of TKO Group Holdings. This merger was created by their parent company, Endeavor, to bring the two organizations together. Despite this partnership, UFC and WWE remain distinct entities with no direct overlap in their operations. White has expressed an interest in working more closely with WWE, but he has clarified that his involvement won’t extend to co-promotion or surpass his current responsibilities.
