Google is reportedly bringing a tweak to Weather that is said to provide more information on the forecast page. Google Weather now includes the date in the 10-day forecast .

Previously, the forecast just showed the day: Today, Sunday, Monday and likewise but it will now add dates like the iPhone Weather app , as spotted by 9to5mac.

Notably, there was no confusion in understanding weather-related information with the previous format, this changes makes things more streamlined. Having dates along with days can be helpful when one passes the week mark.

Google Weather’s change will help users make long-term planning a little easier. The new format can be spotted in Google app 12.25.

Google Weather hasn’t seen any real updates since 2023 when it got a redesign. Pixel widgets and At a Glance weather icons have been updated, the “app” still uses its original set.

Google Weather is now leveraging first-party forecasting models and features like radar and more widgets (for all Android devices) may be helpful in the longer run.

Apple Weather updated in iOS 18
Apple's upcoming iOS 18 release will also introduce significant updates to the Weather app. Reportedly, the first major feature is the display of the actual and feels-like temperatures – both temperatures will be presented prominently. The actual temperature will be shown in a large font, while the feels-like temperature will appear below it in a smaller font and a different colour.

The second feature involves the integration of home and work locations. By default, users' home and work addresses will be added to their list of tracked weather locations, allowing for easy monitoring of weather conditions at these locations without manually entering the addresses.
