Realme 13 Pro series teased to arrive with new AI camera features

Realme is set to launch its next-gen mid-range series, the Realme 13 Pro series in China soon. At the recently held AI Imaging Media preview event in Bangkok, the company has already confirmed that the upcoming smartphone series will be launched in China later this month.

Recently, the company also started teasing the Realme 13 Pro series via the Realme India account on social media platform X (earlier Twitter). This suggests that the Chinese smartphone maker is also planning to launch these smartphones in India in the coming months.

Apart from confirming the arrival of the Realme 13 Pro series in India, the teasers also confirm some of the key features of the upcoming smartphones. Here are the list of AI-powered camera upgrades that are set to arrive with the Realme 13 Pro series:

Realme has confirmed that the Realme 13 Pro+ smartphones will house a dual rear camera setup. The main sensor will be a 50MP Sony LYT-701 sensor , the first of its kind in the industry, which will be paired with a secondary 50MP Sony LYT-600 lens that will power the periscope telephoto camera to offer 3x optical zoom for distant objects.

The company is also set to introduce a new approach to smartphone photography with HYPERIMAGE+. This technology, which they claim is the first of its kind, is an AI photography architecture .

It will work by combining three key elements: top-tier optics in the phone's camera system, powerful on-device AI image processing algorithms, and the additional processing power of cloud-based AI image editing.

One of the core AI algorithms, AI HyperRAW , is designed to improve the clarity and dynamic range of photos. This means users can expect more natural-looking images.

The Realme 13 Pro series will also benefit from a range of advanced AI features specifically designed for portrait photography, including AI Pure Bokeh for beautiful background blur, AI Natural Skin Tone for realistic skin tones, and AI Ultra Clarity for extra crispness in your portraits.

Realme also emphasised that the phone has received a High-Resolution Camera Certification from the testing body TÜV Rheinland. The company has also hinted at additional features like AI Group Enhance and AI Smart Removal. More details are expected in the coming days during the official launch of the Realme 13 Pro+ later this month.
