CHANDIGARH: BJP National Secretary Om Prakash Dhankhar on Saturday said that Congress party has been robbing the mandate by lying while claiming that their National President has admitted this. " Congress should apologize to the people of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh and step down from power to hold fresh elections." he said
Dhankhar took on Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala 's for his statement terming Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini as Accidental CM. Dhankar said d that the term "Accidental " comes from Surjewala's mind while keeping in view past and made an accidental PM .
"When Sonia Gandhi went to Raisina Hill to become PM in 2005 and failed, Manmohan Singh became PM and was referred to as the Accidental PM. This also inspired the film "Accidental PM."
said Dhankar.
By using the term "Accidental," Surjewala has backfired on his own party, as they are losing their mass support, he added.
Dhankhar stated that Saini campaigned in all the 90 constituencies, and the BJP and the people of the state recognized and elected him as their leader.
"Under his leadership, our party formed a government with full majority. The Naib Singh Saini government is working well for everyone’s welfare. It has accomplished the significant task of providing jobs to thousands of youth without the need for bribes" said Dhankar.
He asserted that promises made in manifesto will be fulfilled. "Our guarantee letter corresponds with the budget. We prepared our commitment letter based on the state's economic condition. Congress's empty promises in Karnataka and Himachal are failing' he said.
In Rajasthan , when Congress's farmer loan waiver failed, four thousand farmers committed suicide, which forced Congress out of power in that state. Congress's manifestos are merely tools for acquiring power. The BJP's commitment letter aligns proportionately with the budget, which is why the BJP has come to power in Haryana for the third consecutive time. The people have rejected Congress's hollow guarantees. Party manifestos should correspond with the budget. This topic should be discussed nationwide.
Dhankhar mentioned that Congress's mass base is shrinking and fracturing across the country and Haryana. Congress leaders, in desperation, are making baseless statements. They no longer care about the advice given by their National President regarding the situation in Karnataka.
