In a late Saturday night crackdown on a pub in Hyderabad's IT corridor, Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau caught 24 people, including MNC employees and DJs, for consumption of cocaine , MDMA, meth and ganja. Acting on a tip-off, the TG-NAB team along with Cyberabad police raided The Cave pub in Raidurgam around 10pm. Of the 55 people made to undergo drug test on portable detecting devices, 24 tested positive for different drugs.

All 24 were arrested for violation of NDPS Act. They were taken to Raidurgam police station, but later given station bail. "Our inquiry has revealed that pub managers Abdullah Ayub and R Shekar Kumar, pub owners Rajesh, Abhinav, Sai Krishna and Sunny, and the two DJs Sandeep Sharma and Sai Gaurang encouraged and allowed the consumers to indulge in abuse of these psychedelic drugs. Many of their customers are employees of reputed MNCs," said a Cyberabad police official. The managers and DJs are among those nabbed, but the pub owners are still at large.
