'Joe Biden just big-timed Kamala Harris on national TV': MAGA supporters say big boost to Trump

At a time when Kamala Harris was live at her campaign on Friday, President Joe Biden made a surprise appearance at the White House briefing -- for the first time ever. MAGA supporters questioned whether there was no communication between the president and the vice president and whether Biden wanted to steal the show from Kamala Harris. Biden spoke briefly about the averted port workers; strike, the positive job numbers etc. He was then asked Kamala Harris' role in the numerous crises at home and abroad.

"Well, she's, I'm in constant contact with her. She's aware we all, we're singing from the same song sheet. We, she helped pass all the laws that are being employed," said Biden.

"Now, she was a major player in everything we've done, including passage of legislation which we were told we could never pass. And so she's been, and her, her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things we're doing," Biden said.

Conservatives said it was a big boost to the Trump campaign actually. CNN pundit Scott Jennings wrote, "He is literally trying to destroy her campaign and it’s just incredible."

TV networks were focused on Kamala but had to shift their focus as Biden made the sudden appearance. "We were actually about to go live to Vice President Kamala Harris, who‘s speaking right now in Detroit, Michigan and apparently she‘s talking about this port strike ending," CNN host Boris Sanchez said on Friday. "She‘s trying to appeal to union workers and yet you have the president of the United States come out, clearly overshadowing her, answering significant questions."

A few days ago, it was reported that Biden was grumbling behind closed doors that Kamala was not mentioning him or Bidenomics enough in her recent campaign speeches. Biden privately complained to his allies that Harris and the Democratic Party appear to have "moved on from him" since his July exit from the 2024 race.
