Vitla: The Congress party has expelled three gram panchayat members from Kolnadu village for a period of six years on charges of engaging in anti-party activities.
The expelled members are A.B. Abdulla, Mohammad Manchi, and Rajesh Barebettu. They are accused of aligning with BJP members for political gain.
The disciplinary action follows their alleged involvement in working against official Congress candidates during the recent gram panchayat and Vitlapadnur Cooperative Society elections. A party observer team had visited the area and collected feedback from local workers regarding the matter.
Based on the findings, Dakshina Kannada District Congress President Harish Kumar ordered their expulsion from the party.
