However, the new Mumbai head coach Mahela Jayawardene is believed to have played a vital role in convincing Rohit to continue with the franchise.
Now, as per Rohit Juglan of RevSportz, Mumbai have not just secured his signing but the star India batter will also be their first retention. Captain and Jasprit Bumrah were the favourites for the position but Mumbai don’t want to part ways with Rohit and for the same reason, they are ensuring to give the player everything possible.
