Commentary
  • That is it from this game. Join us for the fifth game as Ireland will take on Scotland on the 23rd at 2.30 pm IST (9 am GMT). Early match so join us early for the coverage as well. Till then, cheers!
  • George Munsey wins the Player of the Match award.
  • If we can point out where Scotland won the game, it would be the fielding department. Netherlands dropped three catches, excluding one of George Munsey who went onto score a magnificent fifty. They gave away too many extras as well as compared to Scotland who apart from two no balls from Gavin Main were just brilliant. Scotland will be elated after this victory. It is the margin of the victory and the way they played in all departments which will give them a lot of boost in the upcoming matches.
  • That is a sorry looking batting card for Netherlands who will be disappointed to lose this match. It was a par score on this pitch but Netherlands didn't show intent at the start. The openers fell in quick succession. Lost Sybrand Engelbrecht in the next over. Bas de Leede and Scott Edwards did put up a stand but just when they tried too change gears, Scotland struck. Chris Greaves took two wickets in his first over and he was well supported by Mark Watt from the other end. Netherlands almost lost wickets in every over after that it was just a procession.
