Pokemon Go has revealed its brand new Max Out season, packed with Dynamaxes and Galarian Pokemon galore.

Pokemon Go is still going incredibly strong after it took over the world, and though it might not be drawing the immense crowd it was when it first launched, players are still turning out in their droves to see exactly what the AR game has in store with each fresh content update. The latest season is no different, as the Pokemon franchise has undergone a great deal of change over the last decade that hasn’t yet been realised in the Niantic mobile title, and players have been hoping for fresh mechanics to make it to Pokemon Go to help give it a little more life. Luckily, that’s just what the Nintendo franchise is doing.

Pokemon Go Max Out is stepping into the Galar region with its new update and bringing with it Dynamax Pokemon, the phenomenon that sees beasties swell to hundreds of times their usual size to dish out devastating, earth-shattering attacks. It’s a system that is incredibly popular with fans in the mainline games, so it’s about time the Galar region’s monsters showed up in their biggest forms – but there’s some training you’ll have to do before your favourites can go kaiju-sized. Here’s everything you need to know about the Pokemon Go Max Out season.

Pokemon Go Max Out: Go Battle League Updates

Fresh updates are coming to the Go Battle league, introducing some balances that should hopefully make the game’s more competitive side feel a little fairer. Firstly, over 30 moves are set to be rebalanced, including some core moves that should significantly alter the game’s meta, especially in the Play! Pokemon scene. There is also a change coming to the game’s Switch Timer, which has been reduced from 60 seconds to 50, in hopes that Pokemon speed and sincere strategy become a far more important factor in gameplay.

Pokemon Go Max Out release date

As revealed by a , Pokemon Go’s Max Out season will begin on Tuesday, September 3, and will conclude on Tuesday, December 3. Judging by previous seasons, we can expect the season to go live at 10am local time.

There’s plenty more to come from Pokemon Go over the next few months, but so far, this is all that Niantic has revealed. Dynamaxing is a big deal in the world of Pokemon (pun very much intended), so its appearance in the game is going to send shockwaves throughout its international fanbase. We’ll see you in the Max Battles.
